The California Ranger Uniform is similar to the U.S. Army Calvary uniform. The uniform consists of the following items:

  • A black cowboy hat with *brass crossed saber disks and *hat cord

  • Riding helmet with *black cover and *brass crossed saber disk

  • *Western style yellow shirt with *brass crossed saber disks, *name tag, *ribbons, *rank insignia, *hash marks, *citation cord and *button and *black tie

  • Black English riding breeches with *gold stripe down each leg

  • *Black belt with brass buckle and tip

  • English style boots (rubber or Leather)

  • Black leather riding gloves

  • Hairnet

Items marked with an asterisk (*) are purchased through your troop Adjutant. Everything else can be purchased from local track stores listed below.

In the San Fernando Valley: Foothill Saddlery and Valencery Sadelry - sells the Breeches, gloves, boots and helmet.

Jim's Western Wear and Boot Barn, have the cowboy hat. You may also want to check out Ebay or Craigslist for used leather boots. The Mane Thing is a consignment shop where you may find a good deal on some boots
